The US Growers Tobacco Company (USGTC) was created by the Burley Tobacco Growers Association (BTGCA) to provide a program and facility where growers can deliver and store their tobacco, if and when they do not want to sell at depressed prices. Growers bringing in tobacco retain an ownership interest in their tobacco, and receive a certificate indicating pounds, type, and grade.

USGTC will stem the tobacco for longer storage and marketing opportunities. Growers/owners using the facility will pay USGTC a fee per green pound for the services, plus the normal storage & processing fees, etc. All tobacco types may use USGTC.
